An experience for the daring, a hike up the Kirigalpotta Mountain which is the 2nd highest mountain in Sri Lanka with a peak elevation of about 2,388m above sea level is well worth the trouble.

As the highest peak accessible to the public this trek can be a bit treacherous however, there is a highly likely chance you may come across the Sri Lankan Leopard and Sambar Deer or even some endemic birds among the grassy plains, cloud forests and the steep rock surfaces of this 7km (one way) climb.
